Associate Lawyer – Corporate & M&A

About the role
Bernitsas is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join its highly active Corporate and M&A team. You will work on a broad range of transactions and corporate advisory mandates, contributing from day one to deals shaping the Greek business landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Work on M&A transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, demergers, restructurings and joint ventures.
- Draft and review commercial contracts such as share purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, business transfer and distribution agreements.
- Prepare and review transaction documentation throughout the full deal lifecycle.
- Advise on regulatory compliance matters related to corporate transactions.
- Conduct due diligence, draft legal opinions and memoranda.
- Provide day‑to‑day legal support to a variety of entities across multiple industries.
- Collaborate closely with senior lawyers and partners on all phases of transactions and advisory mandates.
Required profile
- 4 to 7 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably with M&A exposure.
- LLB with a strong academic record.
- Admission to the Athens Bar Association or another Greek regional bar.
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- LLM from an English‑speaking country and experience with cross‑border transactions are a strong plus.

- Excellent written and spoken communication in Greek and English.
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Business acumen to translate client needs into pragmatic legal solutions.
