Asset & Structured Finance Lawyer (3-8 PQE) – Athens

About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Asset & Structured Finance Lawyer to join its established Athens practice. The role offers the chance to work on sophisticated, cross‑border transactions for major financial institutions, lenders, investors and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of asset finance and structured finance transactions, focusing on complex, cross‑border matters.
• Act for lenders, borrowers, owners, investors and other stakeholders.
• Draft, review and negotiate finance and security documentation.
• Provide guidance on transaction structuring, security arrangements, guarantees and related corporate issues.
• Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with international counsel and other advisers.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s global network on multi‑jurisdictional deals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–8 years post‑qualification experience in asset finance, structured finance, banking or a closely related area.
• Proven experience on complex and/or cross‑border transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to communicate complex legal issues clearly.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Greek qualification required, additional international qualifications advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, international, collaborative environment.
