Accountant – Profit & Loss & Production Cost Specialist

About the role

JVC PACKAJING, a Greek printing and packaging company, is looking for an experienced Accountant to own the Profit & Loss statement and manage production cost accounting for both in‑house manufactured cartons and purchased ready‑made cartons.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual P&L statements, monitoring revenue, COGS and operating expenses.
• Conduct gross‑margin analysis by product line and support budgeting, forecasting and profitability reporting.
• Calculate full production costs for in‑house cartons, maintain bills of materials and standard costs, and analyse variances.
• Determine landed cost of purchased cartons, perform make‑vs‑buy comparisons and recommend cost‑control measures.
• Value inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and oversee physical stock counts and reconciliations.
• Record day‑to‑day accounting transactions in line with Greek Accounting Standards (ELP), handle VAT returns, withholding taxes and electronic bookkeeping via the myDATA platform.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash‑flow monitoring and support month‑end/year‑end closings and external audit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, printing or packaging.
• Proven experience in production/industrial cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (ELP) and tax legislation.
• Accounting licence (Class A’ or B’) is a strong advantage.
