Financial Associate – F&B & Retail Operations

About the role

The Onassis Foundation is looking for a Financial Associate to lead the financial performance and reporting of its food‑and‑beverage and retail operations. The role will deliver timely, accurate insights that support business monitoring, risk management and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, profitability, gross margin, cash flow and key business KPIs.
• Perform budget‑vs‑actual analysis, identify variances and provide insights on trends.
• Validate financial and operational data from accounting teams, business units and external partners.
• Track sales performance, POS activity, cash reconciliations, inventory and cost‑control processes.
• Assess store performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Identify financial and operational risks and propose corrective measures.
• Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and business planning activities.
• Act as liaison between operations, accounting, external advisors and senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in multi‑site F&B and retail environments.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L analysis and cash‑flow management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non‑financial stakeholders.

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in reporting tools.
• Familiarity with myDATAS.
