Director of Operations

About the role

DRNS Drone Show Experiences is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of its drone show projects in Athens. This senior, full‑time position ensures safe, timely, and high‑quality execution of immersive aerial events for corporate, public, and brand activations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and coordination across technical, creative, and client‑facing teams.
• Develop, refine, and implement operational processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and operational budgets, ensuring cost control and financial reliability.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships, and ensure compliance with safety, aviation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support client experience by aligning operational capabilities with project proposals and troubleshooting issues before, during, and after events.

Required profile

• Proven operations management experience, preferably in events, entertainment, technology, or aviation.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data, manage KPIs, and drive efficiency.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership skills, including performance coaching and conflict resolution.
• Budgeting expertise with experience creating and tracking operational budgets and vendor expenses.
• Customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or related field; advanced studies or certifications are a plus.
• Fluency in English; Greek language proficiency is advantageous.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Athens and occasional evenings or weekends.
