Waiter/Waitress

About the role

The Waiter/Waitress will deliver food and beverage service to guests at our Luxury Collection hotel in Athens, ensuring high standards of hospitality, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and answer menu questions.
• Set tables according to the type of event and service standards.
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, wait times, and special dietary requirements.
• Record transactions in the MICROS POS system and present accurate checks for payment.
• Check in with guests throughout the service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, and complete closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of food‑and‑beverage service experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lb unaided (heavier items with assistance).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
• Cash handling and payment processing.
