About the role
The Waiter/Waitress will deliver food and beverage service to guests at our Luxury Collection hotel in Athens, ensuring high standards of hospitality, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and answer menu questions.
- Set tables according to the type of event and service standards.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, wait times, and special dietary requirements.
- Record transactions in the MICROS POS system and present accurate checks for payment.
- Check in with guests throughout the service to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, and complete closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights.
- Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of food‑and‑beverage service experience.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lb unaided (heavier items with assistance).
Required skills
- Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
- Cash handling and payment processing.
