Unit Electrician

About the role

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Unit Electrician to join the team at the Agios Nikolaos Energy Center in Paralia Distomou, Boeotia. The role involves supporting the safe and efficient operation of both electrical and thermal power generation units, working from the control room and on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the safe and efficient operation of power units from the control room and field.
• Perform electrical manipulations and support station operations under the guidance of the Shift Engineer.
• Carry out electrical isolation and equipment re‑commissioning as part of the Work Permit process.
• Inspect and conduct functional tests on electrical equipment, promptly reporting any anomalies.
• Participate in troubleshooting, fault investigation, and implementation of improvement actions.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, take part in safety inspections, and accurately record shift events.

Required profile

• Technical degree (TEI) in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience working in industrial or power‑plant environments is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and reliability standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in electrical isolation procedures.
• Ability to perform functional testing of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of work‑permit and safety compliance processes.
