Technical Field Specialist

About the role

The Technical Field Specialist will support surgical procedures by ensuring the correct use of Smith+Nephew products in clinical settings. You will work closely with surgeons and hospital teams to deliver high‑quality service and maintain product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on clinical support during surgeries.
• Prepare, handle, and deliver surgical instruments and medical devices.
• Collaborate with surgeons and hospital staff to understand case requirements.
• Coordinate daily surgical schedules and ensure material readiness.
• Verify charge sheets and manage post‑procedure documentation.
• Oversee return, sterilisation, and handling of instruments.
• Support the full sales cycle with accurate documentation, invoicing, and order tracking.
• Gather market insights and identify growth opportunities.
• Assist with product training, clinical education, and inventory planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences, Nursing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure operating‑room environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Strong organisational accuracy and accountability.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
