Systems Engineer

About the role

MSTAT is looking for a proactive Systems Engineer to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of its infrastructure and deployment environments. You will work across Linux server administration, networking, monitoring, and automation to keep the platform performant and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Linux servers, virtual machines, and networking components.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
• Monitor server performance, utilization, and system resources, responding to alerts proactively.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, cloud resources, and connectivity to clients or partners.
• Administer IT equipment, storage systems, and network devices.
• Support security monitoring, log analysis, incident response, and vulnerability remediation.
• Handle user credentials, access permissions, and authentication for internal services.
• Assist with employee onboarding/offboarding, license management, and internal ticketing.
• Contribute to documentation, automation scripts, and configuration management.
• Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration, engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (MSc a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
