Systems Engineer (DevSecOps)

About the role

SCYTALYS is seeking a Systems Engineer (DevSecOps) to build, secure and maintain Windows and Linux environments that support mission‑critical applications for aerospace and defense customers. The role combines system administration, infrastructure automation and security hardening to ensure reliable, high‑performance enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and optimise Windows Server and Linux operating systems across physical and virtual environments.
• Design and implement secure system configurations, hardening baselines and access controls.
• Manage patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation and OS lifecycle activities.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and administration tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Python and Ansible.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions for infrastructure and applications.
• Support backup, recovery, high‑availability and disaster‑recovery processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux systems in production.
• BSc in Computer Science, Informatics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
