Space Systems Engineer

About the role

Kenotom is expanding into the space sector and seeks a motivated Space Systems Engineer to develop advanced electronic systems for space missions. The role combines hardware design, embedded software, and systems engineering to meet demanding reliability and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electronic systems and subsystems for space applications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support hardware activities: architecture, interface definition, component selection, schematic and PCB design, analysis and testing.
• Perform engineering analyses such as worst‑case analysis, power‑loss calculations, measurement error propagation, derating and end‑of‑life component assessment.
• Manage systems engineering tasks including requirements definition, architecture development, interface control, verification planning and technical documentation.
• Contribute to embedded software development and hardware‑software integration where relevant.
• Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, verification & validation activities, and resolve technical issues.
• Apply relevant space standards and engineering guidelines, including ECSS standards.
• Support proposal preparation, tender responses and early‑stage definition of future space projects.
• Assist in technical coordination, project planning and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, customers and external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in electronics or space systems engineering.
• Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
