Site Manager

About the role

The Site Manager will act as the Owner’s representative during the construction of new gas carriers, overseeing the project from the initial design phase in Athens through to final delivery at the shipyard in China.

Key responsibilities

• Support the plan‑approval and pre‑construction phase in Athens by reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation and coordinating with class societies, flag authorities and equipment makers.
• Represent the Owner at the shipyard in China, monitoring construction quality, schedule adherence and regulatory compliance.
• Track defects, organise inspections and testing, and provide regular progress reports up to vessel delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in shipbuilding, new‑building projects or ship management.
• Proven experience supervising shipyard activities and vessel construction.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to China for the construction phase.
• Experience with LNG/LPG or other gas carriers is a strong advantage.
• Very good written and spoken English.
