About the role
The Shift Leader oversees daily operations of a Papa John’s restaurant, ensuring high‑quality products, excellent customer service, and profitability. This role coordinates staff, manages inventory, and enforces company policies and legal compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise shift activities and ensure adherence to dough management, portioning, and product preparation standards.
- Maintain product quality, manage cash, and monitor food and labor costs.
- Provide immediate feedback, resolve issues, and ensure adequate shift coverage.
- Execute inventory control and loss‑prevention procedures using company systems.
- Uphold safety, security, attendance, and appearance standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (preferred) and Serv‑Safe or equivalent food‑service certification (preferred).
- Previous restaurant shift‑lead experience is a plus.
- Stable employment history, 18+ years of age, and ability to work 32+ hours, including nights and weekends.
- Capability to perform duties of all restaurant positions.
