Service Technician – Wind Energy (Livadeia)

About the role

Vestas is looking for a Service Technician to join its wind energy service team in Livadeia, Greece. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance while adhering to the highest safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.
• Perform periodic service inspections, replace and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components according to Vestas specifications.
• Ensure smooth turbine operation using condition‑monitoring and remote‑control systems.
• Manage a service vehicle and stocked warehouse, ordering tools, materials and spare parts as needed.
• Assemble major components following work instructions, using internal or external cranes when required.
• Communicate proactively with customers about completed and upcoming service activities.

Required profile

• Technical education in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant electromechanical maintenance experience, preferably in the wind industry.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Physical ability to climb turbines and work in varied weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to other sites when required.
• Residence in Livadeia is mandatory.
