Senior QA Engineer

About the role

KIEFER is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to strengthen its QA practice across AI‑driven products. You will work within a horizontal QA function, partnering with product and engineering teams to ensure high‑quality releases for frontend, backend, APIs, and AI‑generated features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automated tests for frontend, backend and API services.
• Develop unit, integration and end‑to‑end test coverage using pytest, Vitest and Playwright.
• Enhance CI quality gates, test reporting, defect visibility and release reliability.
• Audit existing test suites, close coverage gaps and reduce flaky tests.
• Create practical methods to validate AI‑generated output, leveraging mock and real model interactions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testing practices and support production releases.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in QA or test engineering with strong hands‑on automation.
• Proven experience testing Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or Java applications.
• Deep understanding of unit, integration, API and end‑to‑end testing in production.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates and test reporting.
• Active use of AI tools in daily QA work and ability to critically assess results.
• High autonomy, strong communication and collaborative mindset.
