Senior Procurement Category Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Category Officer will lead the end‑to‑end sourcing of indirect spend categories such as IT, Marketing, HR, Facilities and professional services. Reporting to the Group Procurement Category Manager, you will act as a trusted business partner, driving cost‑saving initiatives and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for indirect categories, from spend analysis to contract award.
• Conduct market research, identify savings opportunities and optimise the supplier base.
• Run competitive sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP), evaluate bids and negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs, and manage relationships.
• Track cost‑saving, cost‑avoidance and value‑creation projects.
• Oversee contract renewals, renegotiations and ensure business continuity.
• Provide procurement KPI reports and insights to senior management.
• Support vendor risk management and enforce compliance with code of conduct and sustainability commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in indirect spend categories.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
