Senior OT Security Engineer

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior OT Security Engineer to join its fast‑growing OT Security Practice. You will help global clients protect industrial control systems and critical infrastructure from cyber threats while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse OT architectures and co‑lead assessments of SCADA, DCS, IIoT and other OT/ICS environments.
• Identify cybersecurity risks and propose mitigation strategies aligned with ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800‑82.
• Design and implement security controls tailored to industrial systems.
• Maintain asset inventories, network diagrams and documentation of OT security posture.
• Collaborate with IT, OT and engineering teams to embed security into operational processes.
• Conduct research on emerging threats, technologies and best practices.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Automation, Electronics or Computer Science.
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial cybersecurity or related fields.
• Hands‑on experience with OT/ICS/IoT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, DCS or IIoT.

Required skills

• Industrial protocols: OPC, Modbus, Profinet, Profibus.
• Vendor technologies: Siemens, Honeywell, ABB, Schneider Electric.
• Security frameworks: ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82.
• Asset inventory and network diagram management.
• Research and threat analysis for industrial environments.
