Senior IT Platform Engineer
Hack The Box
Job description
About the role
Hack The Box is looking for a Senior IT Platform Engineer to own and evolve the internal tooling and enterprise platforms that keep its 300+ globally distributed people running securely. This is not a helpdesk role: you will be the engineering backbone behind identity and access management, corporate email and collaboration, device management, SaaS orchestration and the centralised AI/LLM gateway. The role is based in Europe/Greece, either fully remote or in a hybrid model (2 days in the office, 3 remote, plus one month of work from anywhere); candidates within 55 km of the Athens office follow a hybrid model, others can work fully remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Okta as the central identity provider: SSO, SCIM provisioning, MFA policies and Okta Workflows for onboarding, offboarding and role changes.
- Own Google Workspace administration: domain management, email security (DKIM/DMARC/SPF), shared drives, DLP rules and Google Vault.
- Deploy and operate a centralised LLM gateway (e.g. LiteLLM, Portkey) with usage tracking, cost controls, rate limiting and audit logging.
- Manage macOS/iOS fleets via Jamf Pro (patching, app deployment, compliance, disk encryption).
- Run and improve compliance automation (Vanta/Drata) to keep SOC 2, ISO 27001 and similar audits current.
- Administer SaaS platforms at org level: Slack Enterprise Grid, Atlassian, Notion, GitHub.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks and knowledge-base articles, and take part in on-call rotation for identity, email and critical SaaS incidents.
Required profile
- 3-7 years of experience in IT engineering, internal platform engineering or infrastructure, focused on enterprise SaaS and identity systems.
- Hands-on Okta experience (SSO, SCIM, MFA) and Google Workspace administration.
- Experience managing macOS fleets at scale with Jamf.
- Ability to write automation scripts (Go/Python) and integrate SaaS tools via APIs.
- Strong written communication in a remote-first environment; a security mindset is a strong plus.
Required skills
- Okta (SSO, SCIM, MFA, Okta Workflows)
- Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Admin Console, Vault)
- Jamf Pro (macOS/iOS)
- LiteLLM or Portkey, API key management
- Terraform and Python scripting; Go is a bonus
- Vanta, Drata or similar compliance tools (bonus)
What we offer
- Relocation support: 10% salary bonus and 50% income tax reduction, plus accommodation for the first few weeks.
- 25 annual leave days, paid parental leave and home office allowance.
- Dedicated training budget, conference participation and state-of-the-art equipment.
- Full access to the Hack The Box lab and flexible working hours.
