HPC Project Manager – Electronic Infrastructures

About the role

GRNET S.A. provides Internet connectivity, e-infrastructure (HPC, cloud and storage) and advanced services to the Greek educational, academic and research community, and hosts the DAEDALUS supercomputer. It is looking for a technically oriented Project Manager with a track record in project management and a wide technical background, preferably in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, to work on EC projects for the European Infrastructures and Projects Directorate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project concepts, scope and objectives with stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
• Prepare and write project proposals, alone or with European partners
• Manage running projects and contribute to their deliverables
• Take part in and manage meetings, including administrative and technical ones
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Contribute to designing technical solutions for scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available services
• Represent the company in project consortium meetings in Europe and beyond

Required profile

• At least 2 years of proven experience managing technical projects
• Solid technical background in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience in projects within national and European programmes
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Self-driven, innovative, team-oriented, with good communication and presentation skills

Required skills

• Parallel computing, computer architecture and/or machine learning (a plus)
• Agile methodologies (a plus)
• Organizational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking (a plus)
