Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Quento Technologies S.A. is looking for a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve its cloud‑native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work on Kubernetes‑based platforms, CI/CD pipelines, security, and observability to enable reliable and scalable application delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including namespaces, resource tuning, and autoscaling.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML) and GitOps with ArgoCD.
• Create and manage container images with Docker multi‑stage builds and store them in Azure Container Registry.
• Implement and operate Istio Service Mesh, handling mTLS, traffic routing, and JWT policies.
• Administer Azure services such as Application Gateway, API Management, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Event Hubs, and Blob Storage.
• Apply networking and security best practices (VNets, subnets, private endpoints, firewalls).
• Manage secrets, keys, and certificates via Azure Key Vault.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise systems using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Ensure container and storage security with Microsoft Defender and comply with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience managing AKS in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes concepts (deployments, services, HPA, rolling updates).
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
• Experience configuring Istio and service‑mesh architectures.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking and security (VNet, private endpoints, WAF, firewalls).
• Experience with Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificate management.
• Strong troubleshooting and operational skills in cloud‑native environments.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
