Senior Data Scientist

About the role

Join Accenture Strategy & Consulting's Data & AI practice to drive digital reinvention for clients. You will partner with business leaders and a multicultural team to deliver AI‑enabled transformation and create sustainable value.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and translate them into data‑science actions.
• Support development and delivery of machine‑learning solutions, collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
• Lead a multicultural team of 2‑4 members, managing deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Provide best‑practice guidelines and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Communicate results to senior management and client stakeholders.
• Contribute to internal R&D and business‑development activities through AI & ML expertise.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or related field.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a multinational project team and travel as needed.

Required skills

• Python programming and data‑science libraries.
• R, Scala or Julia for statistical modelling.
• Deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Theano, H2O.
• Big‑data tools: Hive, Spark, NiFi, HBASE, HDFS, Kafka, Kudu.
• Visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau.
• Cloud analytics platforms: Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse, Amazon Redshift.
• Cloud services: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
