Senior Cyber Security Engineer – AI Security

About the role

Synopsys is looking for a senior cyber security engineer to shape the AI security foundation that protects its enterprise AI platforms and AI‑enabled products. You will work on cutting‑edge AI threat landscapes, ensuring that data, models and services remain secure as they scale across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and build AI security architecture across enterprise AI platforms and AI‑enabled products, establishing controls where none exist today.
• Evaluate, select, and onboard AI security posture management tools, AI gateways, AI firewalls and guardrail platforms for deployment on AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Integrate prompt guardrails and AI DLP controls directly into AI applications and retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines.
• Design and deploy monitoring and detection capabilities for AI‑specific threats such as model misuse, jailbreaks and unauthorized data exposure.
• Conduct AI red‑team exercises to uncover vulnerabilities in LLMs, agents, APIs and AI‑enabled products, then implement mitigations.
• Automate AI security workflows, tool integrations and monitoring using Python scripting and security orchestration platforms.
• Collaborate with AI architects, engineers and product teams across multiple regions.

Required profile

• Several years of experience securing production systems and AI platforms.
• Proven ability to evaluate new AI security vendors and integrate solutions quickly.
• Hands‑on experience building security controls from scratch in emerging technology categories.
• Strong understanding of AI threat vectors, including prompt injection, data leakage and model misuse.

Required skills

• Python scripting for automation and orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Familiarity with AI security tools such as AI firewalls, AI gateways and AI posture management solutions.
• Knowledge of prompt guardrails, AI DLP, model misuse detection and red‑team techniques for LLMs.
