Cybersecurity Architecture & Operations Lead

About the role

The Cybersecurity Architecture & Operations Lead is a senior, hands‑on technical role that combines security architecture and cybersecurity operations across Angelicoussis Group’s IT and OT environments. The role is responsible for designing secure solutions, defining technical standards, and strengthening monitoring, detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security‑by‑design across IT, OT, cloud services, infrastructure and integrations by defining and maintaining security architectures, standards, controls and implementation roadmaps.
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical risk assessments, identify control gaps, define mitigations and validate security requirements before launch.
• Own engineering, integration, optimisation and continuous improvement of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud, identity, network and vulnerability‑management platforms.
• Strengthen monitoring and detection by analysing telemetry, developing and tuning SIEM use cases, supporting threat hunting and improving response workflows.
• Lead technical incident response, including investigation, containment, recovery, root‑cause analysis and implementation of lessons learned.
• Drive vulnerability reduction through secure configuration, assessment, remediation prioritisation, patching oversight and risk reporting.
• Partner with business, IT and Operations stakeholders to protect critical services while balancing usability and risk.
• Act as senior technical advisor, translating emerging threats and technologies into practical improvements across architecture, engineering, monitoring and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of hands‑on information security experience covering security architecture, engineering and cybersecurity operations.
• Proven ability to design and assess security architectures and translate business and risk requirements into effective controls across IT, cloud and preferably OT environments.
• Strong analytical judgement, ownership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, CCSP or equivalent; experience in an industrial or maritime environment is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken Greek and English.
