Senior Auditor – Shipping (Remote, Greece)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Auditor specialized in shipping to join its fully remote team based outside Athens, Greece. You will work with a diverse portfolio of public and private shipping clients listed on NASDAQ and NYSE, applying both IFRS and US GAAP frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audit engagements for shipping companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
• Perform SOX compliance testing and assess internal controls.
• Execute audits under PCAOB and ISA standards for both public and private entities.
• Collaborate with cross‑border teams, building strong client relationships and influencing stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Several years of audit experience, preferably within the shipping industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, PCAOB and ISA audit standards.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
