Senior Android Engineer

About the role

Plum is looking for a user‑focused Senior Android Engineer to help shape the next generation of its mobile experience. You will join a cross‑functional squad that builds the Android version of Plum from the ground up, delivering a seamless way for users to manage their money.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers in a squad to define features and KPIs.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and iterate rapidly in short development cycles.
• Implement dependency injection, Android architecture components, and Jetpack libraries.
• Set up and maintain CI pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing suites.

Required skills

• Kotlin programming language.
• Full Android stack knowledge and architecture patterns.
• Experience with dependency injection (DI) and Android Architecture Components.
• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD setup, and automation.
• Solid testing experience (unit, integration, snapshot).
• Ability to translate design concepts into Material Design‑compliant UI.
• Published at least one original Android app.
