Security Duty Officer - Rhodes Airport (Fixed-Term)

About the role

Fraport Greece operates, manages and upgrades 14 regional airports in Greece. It is recruiting a Security Duty Officer for Rhodes Airport under a fixed-term contract. The officer monitors the airport's security arrangements, takes part in security incidents and keeps the security team properly staffed.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the implementation of the Airport Security Program, standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Take part actively in emergencies or other events that threaten security or normal airport operations.
• Monitor the attendance of security personnel and the staffing of security points, check the shift schedule and inform the Security Supervisor and Airport Duty Manager.
• Take action to prevent operational disruptions and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain continuous contact with the Security Manager and the duty manager of the security services provider.
• Respond to and assist the police in emergencies, under the Security Supervisor's direction.
• Handle ID card requests when ID Card Officers are absent, if available.

Required profile

• High school diploma; a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an asset.
• 3-5 years of solid professional experience in aviation security.
• Previous experience in airport operations.
• Excellent knowledge of HCAA requirements and procedures in aviation security.
• Fluency in Greek and English at a professional corporate level.
• Fulfilled military obligations (if applicable).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Cat B driving licence.
• Strong team orientation, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
