Sea Freight Coordinator

About the role

Marinair Cargo Services Ltd. is seeking a motivated Sea Freight Coordinator to manage import and export bookings, develop new business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with carriers and agents. The role combines operational coordination with sales support to ensure efficient and cost‑effective sea freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate routing of import and export bookings with carriers and overseas agents.
• Prepare timely rates and quotes for customers, considering time‑zone differences.
• Support acquisition of new customers while maintaining existing accounts in collaboration with other departments.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers, carriers, and agents to enhance service competitiveness.
• Research and recommend cost‑effective shipping methods.
• Ensure proper filing of all shipping documents (HAWB, MAWB, MBL/HBL, manifest, shipping instructions, certificate of origin, etc.).
• Dispatch pick‑ups to authorized agents, airlines, trucking companies, and other parties.
• Proactively track shipments, resolve billing or shipping discrepancies, and communicate updates to customers and vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Shipping, International Transportation, or Logistics.
• Fluent English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sea freight coordination or a similar role, with references required.
• Strong negotiation skills and results‑oriented mindset.
