Quality Control Technician – Mechanical

About the role

The company, a leader in satellite and space technology, is looking for a Mechanical Quality Control Technician to join its Athens operations. You will perform visual and mechanical inspections on components and subsystems used in advanced satellite systems, ensuring they meet strict space‑grade quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of mechanical, composite, electronic and COTS components according to inspection plans.
• Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges and torque tools.
• Identify and report non‑conformances, support root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and update material status in ERP/MES systems.
• Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and maintained.
• Support quarantine and scrapping processes for non‑conforming parts.
• Monitor production, logistics and laboratory environments for safety and quality compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to prevent quality escapes.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Mechanics, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of QC or inspection experience in aerospace, defense or high‑reliability manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with precision inspection tools and reading technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document non‑conformances.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
