Production Engineer – Thessaloniki

About the role

Sidenor, the leading steel producer in Greece, is seeking a Production Engineer to join its Thessaloniki plant. Reporting to the Production Senior Manager, you will oversee the production and maintenance of the plant’s Production Unit, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise execution of the production program and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Follow Quality Control instructions to guarantee product quality.
• Coordinate the production process to minimise operating costs.
• Utilise Quality, Environment, and Health & Safety systems for the department.
• Maintain the good operation, upkeep, and care of the department.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (Member of Technical Chamber of Greece).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Strong health and safety culture.
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
• Team‑working spirit and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with PLC and SCADA automation systems.
• Experience with other automation tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
