Procurement Buyer

About the role

Intracom Defense (IDE) is Greece's leading technology defense company, developing cutting‑edge solutions for tactical communications, missile electronics, surveillance, hybrid power systems and next‑generation unmanned platforms. We are looking for a Procurement Buyer to join our Programs Management Department in Koropi. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work, and focuses on preparing costing files, conducting cost analyses and managing the full procurement cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bid specifications and issue requests to multiple vendors.
• Evaluate approved suppliers and negotiate price, delivery terms and product quality.
• Source new products and identify alternative suppliers.
• Handle claims, rejections, over‑shipments, cancellations and other supplier issues.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, cost efficiency and service quality improvement.
• Resolve order‑related problems promptly and efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, supply‑chain management or cost analysis.
• Hands‑on experience preparing costing files, price analyses and supplier quotations.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
