Principal Product Manager - Identity Threat Detection & Response

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Principal Product Manager to guide the vision, strategy and execution of Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) within Elastic Security. The role builds on the Entity Analytics and Entity Store foundation to make identity-based threat detection and response a credible, differentiated function, and owns the roadmap for securing non-human and AI agent identities. It sits at the intersection of identity, detection engineering and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the vision, strategy and roadmap for ITDR, evolving Entity Analytics and Entity Store from behavioral analytics into an identity-defense outcome.
• Plan non-human and AI agent identities (service accounts, workloads, secrets, self-directed agents), setting behavior standards, ownership and lifecycle, and how to detect identities operating continuously at machine scale.
• Work with threat research and detection engineering on identity-specific threats such as credential access, privilege escalation, lateral movement and abuse of identity providers and tokens.
• Drive the response and containment strategy, turning detections into action with identity-system integrations and automated responses, with human oversight for important actions.
• Collaborate with enterprise customers, security operations teams, sales and solution architects to understand requirements and priorities.
• Work with the design team on investigation and response experiences that integrate identity signals with endpoint, cloud and network data in the SIEM and XDR functions.
• Stay current on the identity-security market and evangelize Elastic's identity capabilities through content and community engagement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of product management or solution delivery for security products such as SIEM, XDR, EDR, identity security or detection and response, with a track record of leading data-intensive products from inception through launch and growth.
• Solid knowledge of identity-based attack techniques, Active Directory, cloud identity providers, SSO, OAuth and privileged access, and of ITDR and entity behavioral analytics (UEBA).
• Fluency in non-human identities and understanding why traditional human-identity rules do not apply to them.
• Deep technical understanding of AI/ML, behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, LLMs and agentic systems, working closely with data scientists and engineers.
• Proven ability to lead across a matrixed, remote-first organization and communicate complex concepts to technical and executive audiences.

• Base salary of EUR 73,300 to 115,900, with no variable component.
