O&M Mechanical Site Engineer – Solar PV (m/f/d)

About the role

JUWI is seeking an O&M Mechanical Site Engineer to support a cluster of utility‑scale solar PV plants in the Kozani and Grevena regions of Western Macedonia. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of tracker systems, mounting structures and related mechanical infrastructure, working closely with the O&M Site Manager and on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on tracker systems, mounting structures and associated mechanical infrastructure according to the Facility Operation Plan and OEM instructions.
• Collaborate with Control Room personnel and Electrical Site Engineers to respond to alarms, investigate faults and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate site services, subcontractors and OEM service teams, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and quality standards.
• Support electrical activities within competence under the direction of an authorized Electrical Engineer, excluding switching and testing.
• Manage spare‑parts, warranty claims and maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, permit‑to‑work and LOTO requirements and participate in on‑call and emergency‑response rotations.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, commissioning, operation or maintenance of PV plants, power plants or comparable industrial assets.
• Experience with utility‑scale PV O&M, MV/HV substations, grid connection, inverter and tracker technologies is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English and Greek, with a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance of solar tracker systems.
• Interpretation of technical drawings, layouts, OEM manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of MV/HV substation operation, grid‑connection and protection systems.
• Plant performance analysis, root‑cause analysis and MV switching operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital maintenance/ticketing reporting systems.
