About the role
The OHS Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Occupational Health & Safety management system for a facility handling explosive materials.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement OHS management systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, EU, and corporate safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, HAZOP, safety audits, and workplace inspections.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Develop emergency response and crisis management plans.
- Deliver OHS training and safety awareness programs.
- Coordinate OHS activities with contractors and suppliers.
- Promote a strong safety culture and zero‑tolerance approach.
- Maintain OHS documentation and reporting.
Required profile
- Degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial OHS roles.
- Strong preference: explosives, ammunition, or major hazard industries; alternative: chemical, fine chemicals, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
