Mid/Senior Python Backend Developer – IoT Platform

About the role

We are expanding our engineering team with a Mid‑level or Senior Python Backend Developer to work on the next generation of our large‑scale IoT monitoring and analytics platform. The role is full‑time and based on‑site in Athens or Patras, Greece.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain service‑oriented backend applications using Python and Azure services.
• Build reusable components and optimise performance of existing modules.
• Integrate security and data‑protection best practices throughout development.
• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to ensure robustness.
• Participate in debugging, performance tuning, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate closely with frontend, firmware, and data‑engineering teams.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in Greece and residence within commuting distance of Athens or Patras.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software engineering using modern development pipelines and tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, relational and NoSQL databases.
