Mechanical Engineer – Robotics R&D (On-site, Thessaloniki)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join OZZIE Robotics' R&D team in Thessaloniki. The position is hands‑on and requires regular presence at our facilities to design, prototype, assemble and test autonomous mobile robots.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D models of mechanical components and complete systems using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Calculate mechanical loads, strength, and select appropriate materials for robotic parts.
• Analyse operational parameters and choose suitable mechanical elements such as bearings, gears, and actuators.
• Set up and operate 3D printers for rapid prototyping of parts.
• Participate in the assembly, testing and validation of robotic platforms.
• Collaborate closely with electronics and software teams to deliver integrated robotic solutions.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics of materials, machine elements and kinematics.
• Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and hands‑on assembly skills.
• Excellent English communication (C2 level) and strong organisational abilities.
