Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

About the role

Salonica Constructions SA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its on‑site team in Thessaloniki. The role focuses on the full‑cycle design of industrial equipment such as pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and skid‑mounted modules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review 3D mechanical models and complex assemblies using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Create detailed 2D/3D fabrication and assembly drawings and generate accurate Bills of Materials.
• Collaborate with project engineers, production teams, and quality departments to ensure designs meet technical specifications and are manufacturable.
• Prepare technical documentation, participate in design reviews, and support engineering activities during fabrication.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products, engineering processes, and CAD libraries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or a related field.
• High proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong foundation in machine and product design principles.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple design tasks on‑site.
