Marine Field Service Technician

About the role

LMW, on behalf of its client, is looking for a Marine Field Service Technician to join a technical team that supports maritime technology and marine equipment. The role combines hands‑on mechanical repair and maintenance at the workshop, on board vessels, and at shipyards or ports, with a focus on delivering reliable service in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance and technical service on a variety of marine equipment.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair and re‑assemble mechanical components according to drawings and manuals.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, record findings and ensure accurate technical reporting.
• Carry out onboard service tasks and assignments at shipyards and ports.
• Travel within Greece and internationally as required for field assignments.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure timely and safe completion of work.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma from a Merchant Marine Engineering Academy or a comparable marine/mechanical technical school.
• Practical familiarity with onboard environments, engine rooms and shipboard technical operations.
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical repairs, maintenance or servicing.
• Willingness to travel and work on vessels when needed.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability and team‑oriented attitude.
• Commitment to continuous technical training and development.
