Maintenance Manager - Luxury Resort

About the role

Domes Resorts is hiring a Maintenance Manager for its luxury 5-star resort in Elounda, Crete. The role covers the day-to-day management and maintenance of the hotel's physical facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems and outdoor areas, ensuring they meet health, safety and quality standards. The manager also supervises the maintenance team, oversees repairs, manages budgets and keeps the property clean and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance schedules, emergency repairs and work orders.
• Ensure mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and structural components are in optimal condition.
• Supervise the upkeep of guest rooms, lobbies, kitchens and outdoor spaces to brand standards.
• Recruit, train and manage maintenance staff, including performance evaluations and schedules.
• Run regular safety meetings and training on equipment use, emergency procedures and workplace safety.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections, keep inspection and maintenance logs, and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Respond quickly to guest maintenance requests and work with Housekeeping and Front Desk.
• Plan property improvement projects, set timelines, source vendors and manage budgets.

Required profile

• Preferred: degree or diploma in engineering, mechanical, electrician or a related field.
• At least 5 years in maintenance or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Knowledge of English and familiarity with mechanical systems and infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
