Land Freight Representative – Logistics Operations

About the role

ARKAS LOGISTICS is seeking a proactive Land Freight Representative to join its Piraeus office. You will act as the main point of contact for full‑truck‑load (FTL) and less‑than‑truck‑load (LTL) shipments, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, carriers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and propose new freight products and services.
• Develop and promote FTL & LTL shipments within the assigned territory.
• Negotiate rates with subcontractors, hauliers, warehouses and customs brokers.
• Maintain supplier details in the ORIAN ERP system, monitoring insurance expirations.
• Resolve financial discrepancies with suppliers and ensure payment terms are met.
• Handle customer claims, provide shipment status updates, and coordinate problem resolution.
• Create and update bookings, monitor progress, and communicate with the sales department.
• Organise local collections and deliveries, plan truck loads and routes, and give instructions to drivers.
• Audit invoices and CMR documents, prepare pre‑invoicing for the accounting department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Shipping, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the logistics or freight industry.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Greek.
• Strong negotiation, organizational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ORIAN ERP system.
• Computer literacy and basic office software.
