Junior Superintendent Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Superintendent Engineer you will support the technical supervision of MM Marine's fleet, assisting in daily vessel monitoring and contributing to various engineering projects. You will work closely with the Technical Department and receive training to become familiar with the fleet's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and develop the company’s Preventive Maintenance System.
• Monitor certification, surveys and class‑related matters.
• Maintain the technical library, ship drawings and manuals.
• Track ship performance and energy efficiency.
• Assist in preparation for dry‑docking.
• Participate in newbuilding and retrofit projects.
• Support the implementation of industry rules and regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related discipline.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a similar position within a shipping company.
• Small sea service experience, preferably on tanker vessels, is an advantage.
• Proficient with computing and software applications; fast data‑entry skills.
• Experience with ERP systems or other shipping software is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize work and good organisational skills.
