Junior Maintenance Operator – Entry Level

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Junior Maintenance Operator to join its rolling‑stock maintenance team. This entry‑level position focuses on executing preventive and corrective tasks on trains, metros, and other rail vehicles, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective service.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Alstom industrial work instructions and quality standards to perform maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Execute preventive and corrective tasks, record progress in MMIS/SES, and complete work checklists and orders.
• Support secondary‑level fault finding, read schematic diagrams, and apply special processes when qualified.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in all work areas.
• Suggest productivity improvements and collaborate with team leaders and the industrial team.
• Participate in training for additional skills such as forklift, road vehicle driving, and crane operation; respond to call‑outs and breakdowns as needed.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a technical institute (TEI) with expertise in complex industrial maintenance.
• Preferably dual‑skilled in mechanical and electrical/electronic disciplines.
• Willingness to adhere to EHS regulations, Alstom Zero Deviation Plan, and local safety standards.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Fault finding and schematic diagram interpretation.
• Use of MMIS/SES IT systems for tracking work.
• Application of special processes (subject to internal qualification).
• 5S housekeeping practices.
• Operation of forklift, road vehicles, and cranes (if certified).
