Junior Automation Tester

About the role

Join the project team of a Cegeka client in the insurance sector and help ensure the quality of Java‑based applications and Azure integrations. This position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to develop automation skills within an AI‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Write, maintain and execute automated tests for Java applications and Azure Integration Services.
• Support and enhance the test automation framework following coding standards.
• Collaborate with developers and integration architects to clarify functional requirements.
• Participate in integration testing and User Acceptance Testing.
• Leverage AI‑driven tools to speed up test creation, maintenance and defect analysis.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement of the testing team.

Required profile

• Up to 1 year of experience in test automation or Java development (internships, coursework or personal projects accepted).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Advanced English (B2/C1).
• Demonstrated hands‑on use of AI‑assisted development or testing.
• Motivation to learn and continuously improve.

Required skills

• Java programming.
• Automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, REST Assured, Postman or SOAP UI.
• Familiarity with Azure Integration Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Function Apps) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, Docker) is a plus.
