Junior Auditor

About the role

FiveB Auditors is expanding its Audit & Advisory team and is looking for a motivated Junior Auditor to join one of its offices in Athens, Thessaloniki or Larissa. You will support statutory and tax audit engagements, working closely with clients and senior auditors to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing external statutory audit engagements in line with auditing standards and firm methodology.
• Perform tax audits and prepare Tax Certificates, ensuring compliance with Greek tax legislation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Analyse financial information to identify inconsistencies, unusual trends or potential risks.
• Obtain, review and evaluate client documentation to support audit conclusions.
• Communicate with clients to clarify issues, request additional information and provide status updates.
• Support timely completion of audit deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, auditing practices and relevant regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline (post‑graduate studies valued).
• 1‑2 years of experience in an audit firm or related accounting role.
• Working towards or willing to pursue a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Confident, collaborative attitude with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel.
