Java Software Engineer

About the role

Agile Actors is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join its Athens team. You will work on projects for international and Greek clients, contributing to cutting‑edge solutions while growing your technical expertise in a supportive, learning‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based applications using Java 8+.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, multicultural teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Implement REST or SOAP APIs and integrate with relational databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following design patterns and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in core computer‑science concepts (OOA/OOD, data structures, algorithms).
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with multicultural, cross‑functional teams.
