Java Developer – Lottery Solutions (Microservices)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our Lottery Solutions team, building and evolving backend services that power our iGaming and lottery platforms. The role focuses on modern Java development within a micro‑services architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain critical backend systems and web applications.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented Java code (Java 17/21) using Spring Boot.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs in a micro‑services environment.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to analyse requirements and design solutions.
• Provide support to internal and external customers and ensure high‑quality releases.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot (2.6), REST APIs, multithreading and JUnit testing.
• Familiarity with MySQL and Hibernate ORM.
• Proficiency with Git or SVN and Maven build tools.
• Knowledge of containerisation and messaging (Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka).
