Information Technology Technical Consultant

About the role

Finvent is looking for a technically strong, service‑oriented IT & Technical Consultant to join its Athens‑based Investment & Risk Management Software Unit. You will work on client and internal infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and well‑documented solutions for investment‑management firms across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot Finvent and SS&C Advent technical environments.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, VMware, Hyper‑V, storage and backup systems.
• Design, deploy, harden, monitor and maintain infrastructure for internal and client environments.
• Configure networks, firewall rules, access controls and security protocols in collaboration with IT teams.
• Support Advent product upgrades, patch releases and environment readiness checks.
• Collaborate with Advent Professional Services, Finvent consultants and engineering colleagues on deployments.
• Translate client business and technical requirements into practical infrastructure actions.
• Create and maintain system configuration notes, technical diagrams, SOPs and implementation documentation.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting or administration tools.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with experience in Microsoft‑based infrastructure.
• Service‑mindset and ability to work closely with consulting and client‑facing teams.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret client requirements.
