Industrial Engineer – Automated Production Lines

About the role

The Industrial Engineer will join the Industrial Engineering – Constructions team to design, develop and continuously improve automated production lines for smart electricity and gas meters. The role blends mechanical design, industrial automation and equipment upgrades to support the company’s Operational Excellence goals.

Key responsibilities

• Transform technical requirements into practical industrial solutions, including automated workstations, fixtures and production lines.
• Create 3D models of components, assemblies and machine bases and generate detailed engineering drawings with accurate dimensions and tolerances.
• Manage modifications, upgrades and continuous‑improvement activities for internally developed production equipment.
• Evaluate existing equipment to identify opportunities for productivity, quality, safety, reliability and maintainability improvements.
• Coordinate with New Product Introduction, Maintenance and EHS teams to install, commission, validate and hand over new equipment and production lines.
• Participate in factory layout improvement projects and manufacturing process optimisation initiatives.
• Request and technically evaluate commercial quotations, and liaise with external partners and equipment suppliers.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering background with experience in mechanical design and industrial automation.
• Proven ability to manage equipment upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams such as NPI, Maintenance and EHS.
