Flotilla Kids Activity Coordinator

About the role

Sunsail, part of the Travelopia Group, runs one-week flotilla routes in Greece during peak season and is recruiting kids activity coordinators. You will join the flotilla lead crew and coordinate activities for children aged 5-17, working on the yachts, the base and the ports of call. Working hours vary and flexibility is required, in particular for host or base duties.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the welfare, safety and health of the children and organise their activities
• Fitting kids' life jackets and harnesses, and giving morning safety briefings and daily briefings on route
• Prepare the yacht and organise kids' packs on turnaround day
• Craft sailing-related activities, including shore-based games in ports, and keep toys and games ready on the lead yacht
• Prepare treasure hunts, quizzes and activities in advance, and make and buy prizes for prize-giving at the end of each flotilla
• Coordinate group meals, BBQs, punch parties and other events, with special arrangements for children
• Help with general guest enquiries and assist the skipper, technician and host
• Keep the lead boat clean and well presented, and complete turnaround duties

Required profile

• Valid First Aid certificate
• Experience working with children aged 5-17 and organising activities for groups of children
• Customer-facing experience
• Yacht sailing experience (RYA Day Skipper/Competent Crew desired)
• Responsible, patient, fun and hardworking, and a strong team player
