Financial Controller

About the role

ICAP Executive Search & Selection is recruiting on behalf of a respected services‑industry organization for a Financial Controller based in Athens. The role leads the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and strategic insight for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of two accountants.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis processes.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, banking relationships and related finance activities.
• Coordinate the annual audit and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Review and sign the organization’s financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance and timely completion of all accounting activities.
• Provide financial and operational insights to support effective decision‑making.
• Maintain appropriate financial controls and processes across the organization.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a finance leadership, financial control, FP&A or business partnering role.
• A’ Class Accountant signatory rights.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Hands‑on approach combined with collaborative, relationship‑oriented leadership.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
